- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Department provides employment and training opportunities to young adults, 18-23 years of age. The young people perform a variety of public service conservation projects, including, but not limited to, trail building, tree planting, parks development, hazard mitigation, flood and fire emergency assistance. Evening classes in areas such as high school diploma - GED, remedial subjects, college prep, conservation and career development are a requirement. Both residential and non-residential programs available statewide. A drug and alcohol free environment is emphasized which includes pre-employment drug testing.
