• DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD, serves the United States, its territories, and Canada 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Established in 1982, it is staffed by professional crisis counselors who, through interpreters, can provide assistance in approximately 140 languages. The confidential and anonymous hotline offers crisis intervention, information, literature, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service and support resources.
